Definitely, this means occupying a large part of your hard drive. For user reference, it is recommended distributing the folder in your distinguished folder. Dropbox Real-life Operational Traffic Issues:

File Sharing & Link Distributions

File Sharing & Link Distributions

In real life operation some cases user may face Links and file requests are automatically banned if they generate unusually large amounts of traffic.

Please noted as below information to avoid traffic issues.

Dropbox Basic (free) Accounts:

The total amount of traffic that all of your assigned links and file requests together can generate without getting banned is 20 GB each day (24 hours’ time frame parameter).

The total number of downloads that all of your assigned links can generate is 100,000 downloads each day (24 hours’ time frame parameter).

Dropbox Plus and Drop box Business accounts:

  1. The total amount of traffic that all of your submitted links and file requests together can generate without getting banned is about 200 GB each day (24 hours’ time frame parameter).
  2. There’s no daily basis limit to the number of downloads that assigned links can generate.

Each upload and download—even if it’s made by the same user in  multiple times—counts toward your bandwidth limit. To be illustrated, if you have a 2 GB file and someone downloads it five times, that’s counted according to the process of  10 GB bandwidth.

And in this simultaneously process your  account hits Dropbox limit, your links will be temporarily disabled, and anyone who tries to access them will see an error page in lieu of  your files.

If you face this issue related to the links which have been suspended incorrectly for this reason, contact dropbox support team addressing the registered email.

Dropbox Data Allocation:

In terms of data allocation locally in one’s drive, user can get simultaneous flexibility to use multiple data drive splitting total sync process. Although a downside of splitting file or folder in different location is the redundancy of bandwidth allocation. Suppose user can download different file in a single account with different machine same file auto sync will be started in both PC and location, the one and only solution is to use selective sync to control redundant file syncing.

Considering real life factors dropbox, playing a simultaneous role, in the modern data transferring protocol fields to it’s  individual featured services.
